Billy Wayne Tinsley Daylight Lodge No. 1458
The Lodge is a constituent lodge of the Grand Lodge of Texas, A.F. & A.M., and is located in Houston. Its stated meeting is held on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
The Lodge does not own a separate building. Its meetings and Friday School of Instruction are held in the lodge building of Woodland Lodge No. 1157 at 8337 Sweetwater Lane, Houston, Texas 77037.
A lodge that practices
One of the Lodge's defining characteristics is the number of members who maintain Certificates of Proficiency in the Grand Lodge of Texas ritual. More than sixteen members regularly receive Class A, B, or C certificates, with the majority holding Class A certificates. That concentration of proficiency gives the Lodge a substantial base of experienced brethren for opening and closing, degree work, lectures, coaching, and instruction.
Fellowship beyond the stated meeting
The weekly Friday morning school brings members together around breakfast and ritual practice. The morning frequently continues with Texas 42 dominoes. The Lodge's broader activities also include participation in the Memorial Day observance at Houston National Cemetery.
